The main focus of our laboratory is to investigate aspects of diversity of animal behaviour. This includes the study of intra-individual and inter-individual variation of behaviour and its physiological correlates, and possible consequences on reproduction and survival. To this end, we mainly study social insects (hymenoptera and termites), marine worms (polychaetes) and small mammals.
